Project
Emergence
I’m building long-lived AI residents inside Minecraft—characters that remember people, make plans, and can still be understood and controlled.
Why I made it
Most game agents are short-lived tools or scripted NPCs. I wanted residents that remember people, pursue projects over time, and remain understandable and safe for families playing alongside them.
What came of it
A working resident runtime with persistent memory, action logs, safety guardrails, parent-facing controls, and an expanding construction and planning loop.
A little more
The project treats Minecraft as the first habitat for a broader experiment in long-lived, replaceable, locally operated AI civilizations.
Build the smallest durable resident loop first: identity, memory, communication, bounded action, observation, and transparent control.
